3.4.5 Cross-border intercultural dialogue and co-operation

According to the registers of the Unit of International Affairs at the National Council for Culture and the Arts, there are currently more than 60 instruments of international regulation concerning cultural maters (Conventions, Agreements of Cooperation, Memorandi of Undestandings etc), which are signed by the Government of Chile and other countries or international organisations.

Copyright:

-       Interamerican Convention on copyright in literary, scientific and artistic works.

-        Convention on Literary and Artistic Copyright.

-       Universal Convention on Copyright.

-       International Pact on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

-       Customs Convention concerning temporary importation of scientific material.

-       International Convention  of Rome on the protection of artists, interpreters, executors, and producers of phonograms and organisations of radio diffusion.

-       Convention of the World Organisation of Copyright.

-       American Convention on Human Rights.

-       Berne Convention for the protection of literary and artistic works.

-       Treaty of the World Organisation of copyright (OMPI).

Cultural and Natural Material and Intangible Heritage

 - Intangible heritage: Convention for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage (UNESCO).

 - World heritage: Convention on the protection of natural and cultural world heritage.

 - Preservation of cultural heritage of Easter Island: Agreement of the UN for the education, science and culture (UNESCO) for the protection of the cultural heritage of Easter Island.

 - Regional Centre for the Encouragement of Books in Latin America: the cooperation agreement at an international level adhered to by the government of Columbian and UNESCO concerning the Regional Centre for the Encouragement of Books in Latin America, in Bogota, 23rd April 1971.
